Yeti Mountain Home
A small chain of comfortable trekking lodges in the Khumbu, with en-suite bathrooms, electric blankets and Sherpa hospitality at every stop along the Everest trail.
The stay
The Yeti Mountain Home lodges rewrote what a night on the Everest trail could feel like. Stone-built and Sherpa-owned, each sits at a key stage of the classic route — Lukla, Phakding, Monjo, Namche and Thame.
Rooms are warm and generously sized by mountain standards, with private bathrooms, hot showers and electric blankets beneath thick duvets.
Evenings revolve around the dining hall’s fire, where kitchens turn out everything from Sherpa stew to fresh-baked apple pie, and staff who have hosted mountaineering royalty make every guest feel like family.
