Overview
This journey puts the two great mountain areas of Nepal into one week, without any trekking. You fly into the Everest region and into the Annapurna Sanctuary by private helicopter, each time for breakfast, and spend the days between in Pokhara.
From Kathmandu the first helicopter flies east to Lukla to refuel, then up the Dudh Kosi valley to Hotel Everest View, where breakfast comes with Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam in front of you. You are back in Kathmandu by late morning.
In Pokhara you watch the evening aarti by Phewa Lake, and the next morning a second helicopter climbs the Modi Khola gorge to Annapurna Base Camp. The trip ends with a quiet night on Sarangkot ridge and a sunrise over the Annapurna range.

Questions, answered
Do we need to be fit for this trip?
No. There is no trekking. You step out of the helicopter for breakfast and walk only a few metres at each landing.
Is the altitude a concern?
You spend about an hour at 3,880 m and at 4,130 m. Move slowly and drink water; most people feel fine. Tell us about any heart or breathing condition before you book.
Are the helicopters private?
Yes. Both helicopters are chartered for your group. The price shown is per person for two guests sharing each helicopter.
What if the weather is bad?
Helicopters only fly in good visibility. If your morning is cloudy we wait for a window or move the flight to the next suitable morning; the trip has room for this.
Can we add sightseeing in Kathmandu?
Yes. A guided day at Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath can be added on Day 1 or Day 6, or as an extra day.
Is the price per person?
Yes. The price shown is per person for two guests travelling together and sharing a room. Tell us your group size and dates and we will send an exact quote.

Luggage on the helicopters
Take only a small day bag and a warm jacket on each flight; your main luggage stays at the hotel. Helicopters carry limited weight, especially at altitude.
What to wear
Mornings at 3,880 m and 4,130 m are cold, often below freezing in winter. Bring a down jacket, hat, gloves and sunglasses; Pokhara itself is mild.
Permits
You need the Sagarmatha National Park entry for the Everest landing and the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit for base camp. Both are included and arranged for you.
