Overview

The Pavilions Himalayas The Farm is a villa resort on a working organic farm in the countryside outside Pokhara, about 30 minutes from the airport. Much of what you eat is grown on the land around you, and the resort shows guests how its farm and renewable energy systems work.

This is a short wellness break rather than a yoga course. Over three nights you have an open-air yoga class, an evening meditation, a Tibetan singing-bowl sound therapy and an Ayurvedic or deep-tissue massage at Spa Svastha, balanced with gentle outings: a wooden boat across Phewa Lake to Tal Barahi Temple, the Pumdikot or World Peace Pagoda viewpoint, and sunrise at Sarangkot.

Flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara, a private car and licensed guide in Pokhara, and your last night in Kathmandu are all arranged. On the Comfort level you stay in a Classic Villa and at Hotel Barahi in Kathmandu; on the Luxury level in a Chalet Villa and at Dwarika's Hotel.

If you want a full week of twice-daily practice, see our seven-day Yoga Retreat Pokhara instead.

Questions, answered

How is this different from your Yoga Retreat Pokhara?

The Yoga Retreat Pokhara is seven days with two classes and a spa therapy every day. This retreat is a shorter break of three nights on the farm, with one yoga class, one meditation session and two spa sessions, plus sightseeing, flights and a Kathmandu night included.

What is the difference between Comfort and Luxury?

Both stay at The Pavilions Himalayas The Farm with the same programme. Comfort uses a Classic Villa and Hotel Barahi in Kathmandu; Luxury uses a larger Chalet Villa and Dwarika's Hotel in Kathmandu.

Which meals are included?

Breakfast every day. Lunches and dinners are at your own cost, so you can eat at the resort's farm-to-table restaurant or at Lakeside cafés as you like.

Do I need to be fit for the outings?

No. The outings use a private car, with only short walks at the viewpoints and on the lakeshore. The village trails near the farm are optional.

What if the flight to Pokhara is delayed?

Flights on this route are short and usually run, but morning cloud can cause delays. If a flight is cancelled we can drive you instead, which takes about 6 to 7 hours, and we adjust the plan.
