Overview
Himalayan Romance is for couples who want privacy, views and no rushing. It moves from Kathmandu’s old temples to the hills above Pokhara and ends in the jungle of Chitwan.
In Kathmandu you visit Patan, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath with your own guide and have dinner on a rooftop facing the stupa. Near Pokhara you stay in a villa at The Pavilions Himalayas, with a couples’ spa treatment, Sarangkot at sunrise and a private boat on Phewa Lake, then spend one night at its Lake View tented villas across the water.
The last two nights are in Chitwan. On the Luxury level you stay at Meghauli Serai, a Taj Safari lodge, in a Rapti villa with its own plunge pool facing the river; on the Comfort level, in a luxury tent at Jagatpur Lodge by Annapurna. There is a private jeep safari and a riverside dinner before you fly back to Kathmandu.

Day by day
Private transfer from the airport to your hotel: Hotel Barahi (Comfort) or Dwarika’s Hotel (Luxury). Evening at leisure.
A private guided day: Patan Durbar Square and its courtyards, the temple riverbank at Pashupatinath, then Boudhanath for dinner on a rooftop facing the stupa as the lamps are lit.
Flight to Pokhara (about 25 minutes) and transfer to your villa at The Pavilions Himalayas The Farm. Couples’ spa treatment in the afternoon.
Dawn drive to Sarangkot for sunrise over the Annapurnas, then a private wooden boat on Phewa Lake and the World Peace Pagoda on the hill above the lake.
A free morning, or, if you choose it, a private sunrise helicopter to Annapurna Base Camp (optional, not included in the price). Later, a boat across Phewa Lake to the Pavilions Lake View tented villas for a quiet night on the far shore, with dinner.
Drive to Chitwan (about 5 to 6 hours with stops). Check in to Jagatpur Lodge (Comfort) or your Rapti villa with plunge pool at Meghauli Serai (Luxury).
A private jeep safari in Chitwan National Park with a naturalist, looking for one-horned rhino, deer, crocodiles and, with luck, a tiger. In the evening, a private dinner by the river.
A slow morning at the lodge, then drive to Bharatpur airport and fly to Kathmandu (about 25 minutes). Last night at your Kathmandu hotel.

How is this different from your ten-day honeymoon?
The Himalayan Honeymoon Journey is ten days and includes an Everest helicopter morning. Himalayan Romance is nine days, adds two nights in the Chitwan jungle and a night across Phewa Lake, and keeps the helicopter optional.
Does every room at Meghauli Serai have a plunge pool?
No. The plunge pools are in the Rapti villas facing the river, and that is the villa we book on the Luxury level. Jagatpur Lodge on the Comfort level has no private pools.
How much is the sunrise helicopter to Annapurna Base Camp?
It is an optional extra at about US$3,730 for the two of you, including the private helicopter, permit, breakfast and transfers. It flies only in good weather, so we confirm it the evening before.

The route at a glance
Kathmandu (Days 1–2) → Pokhara by air (Day 3) → Pavilions Lake View by boat (Day 5) → Chitwan by road (Day 6) → Kathmandu by air (Day 8).
Pace
Most days have one main outing and a free afternoon. The only early starts are Sarangkot at sunrise and the optional helicopter.

Light layers for Pokhara and Chitwan, a warm jacket for dawn at Sarangkot, neutral colours for the jeep safari, swimwear for the spa and plunge pool, and something smart for the dinners.
