Overview
The shortest way to stand in front of Everest on your own two feet. A helicopter takes you to Lukla, and two days on the trail bring you to Namche Bazaar, the market town of the Sherpa people.
Your third day is for acclimatising, with a hike to the viewpoint above Namche for Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. On the last morning you walk up to Hotel Everest View and fly straight back to Kathmandu from there.
It suits travellers who want the Khumbu’s villages, monasteries and mountain views without the high-altitude days of the full Base Camp trek.

- Your first view of Everest from the viewpoint above Namche

Questions, answered
Is this trek difficult?
It is the gentlest way to see Everest on foot. Day two is the longest, about 6–7 hours with a steep climb to Namche; the other days are shorter. Good general fitness is enough.
Will I see Everest?
On a clear day, yes — from the viewpoint above Namche and from Hotel Everest View. Mornings are usually the clearest.
Is the altitude a problem?
The highest point is about 3,880 m and you sleep two nights in Namche (3,440 m) to adjust. Most guests feel only mild effects, and your guide watches for any symptoms.
Is the price per person?
Yes. The price shown is per person for two guests travelling together and sharing a room. Tell us your group size and dates and we will send an exact quote.
