Overview
This journey was composed like a piece of music: the rich, low notes of Kathmandu’s courtyards, a soaring Everest crescendo by private helicopter, and a long, gentle resolution among the lakes and rice terraces of Pokhara.
On the Luxury level you stay in Dwarika’s hand-carved heritage suites and a private villa at The Pavilions Himalayas, with the fishtail peak of Machhapuchhre on your veranda’s horizon. On the Comfort level you stay at Hotel Barahi in Kathmandu and in a super deluxe room at Hotel Barahi by Phewa Lake in Pokhara.
Woven through it are the moments made only for two: a monastery blessing, a lake at dawn, breakfast at 3,880 metres with the world’s highest mountain filling the window.
Highlights
- Helicopter breakfast facing Everest (private on the Luxury level)
- Couples’ blessing ceremony at a hilltop monastery
- Lake views at Hotel Barahi, or a villa at The Pavilions Himalayas on the Luxury level

Day by day
Garland welcome and private transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure — in the candlelit courtyards of Dwarika’s on the Luxury level.
A gentle guided morning through Kathmandu Durbar Square and the old bazaar, then an afternoon couples’ spa ritual (at Dwarika’s Pancha Kosha spa on the Luxury level).
Dawn helicopter flight along the spine of the Himalaya — a private charter just for the two of you on the Luxury level; on the Comfort level, seats on a shared helicopter with other travellers, landing at Kala Patthar — and breakfast at Hotel Everest View with Everest before you. Return by mid-morning; afternoon at leisure.
Turn the prayer wheels at Boudhanath, then ascend to a hilltop monastery where monks perform a private blessing ceremony for your marriage. In the evening, a six-course Newari dinner at Krishnarpan on the Luxury level.
A short flight west beneath the Annapurnas and transfer to your hotel: Hotel Barahi by Phewa Lake (Comfort) or a private villa at The Pavilions Himalayas (Luxury). Sunset at leisure.
Entirely yours: spa treatments, a cooking class (at The Pavilions’ organic farm on the Luxury level), or nothing at all but the mountains and each other.
Dawn drive to Sarangkot ridge for sunrise over the Annapurnas, then a private wooden boat across Phewa Lake to the island temple of Tal Barahi. Lakeside lunch.
A gentle two-hour walk through rice terraces to a ridge-top picnic laid out by your team — the honeymoon photograph, guaranteed.
Fly back to Kathmandu for a final night at your hotel (Dwarika’s on the Luxury level) and a farewell dinner.

Questions, answered
Can the journey be kept a surprise for one partner?
A speciality of ours. We prepare duplicate documents with details veiled, and brief hotels and guides so each reveal — the helicopter above all — lands perfectly.
Is the blessing ceremony religious?
It is a genuine Buddhist ritual of well-wishing, warm and inclusive, conducted by monks who welcome couples of every faith and none.
What should we pack?
Layers and elegance in equal measure: warm outerwear for mountain dawns, lighter wear for Pokhara, and something beautiful for the farewell dinner. A full list follows booking.
Is the Everest helicopter flight private?
On the Luxury level, yes — the helicopter is chartered for the two of you. On the Comfort level you have two seats on a shared flight with other travellers. If you would rather fly alone, ask us for the private-flight price.
