Overview

Some places make practice effortless. In Pokhara the day begins with pranayama as mist lifts off the lake and the rice terraces, and asana flows with the white wall of the Annapurnas on the horizon.

The retreat balances discipline and indulgence: two guided practices daily, yoga nidra and meditation, and a spa therapy every afternoon. On the Comfort level you stay at Atithi Resort & Spa in Lakeside; on the Luxury level in a villa at The Pavilions Himalayas, with food harvested that morning from the farm below your villa.

It suits complete beginners and long-time practitioners equally — the teaching is private to your group, shaped to your bodies and intentions.

Questions, answered

I am a complete beginner — is this for me?

Perfectly. Teaching is private to your group and scaled to each body; many guests take their first-ever class here, facing the Annapurnas.

What styles of yoga are taught?

Mornings lean into mindful vinyasa and hatha; evenings into yin, nidra and meditation. Teachers adapt freely to your preferences across the week.

Can partners who don’t practise join?

Yes — the spa, walks and the lake keep non-practising partners happily occupied (and at The Pavilions, the pool and the farm too), and meals are shared together.
