Jungle, lakes and mountain silence

Nature Escape Tours in Nepal

Below the peaks lies another Nepal — tiger country in Chitwan’s sal forests, bird-loud lakes, and hill villages wrapped in cloud. Our nature journeys slow the pulse and sharpen the senses.

Good to know

What wildlife can we hope to see?

Chitwan and Bardia national parks hold one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles and more than 500 bird species. Rhino sightings are near-certain; tigers are a thrilling possibility.

What are the safari lodges like?

We use well-regarded safari lodges, such as Meghauli Serai, a Taj Safari lodge, and Jagatpur Lodge by Annapurna, where naturalist-led safaris meet real comfort: stylish rooms, river-view dining and expert guides.

When is the best season for the jungle?

October to March offers cool, dry days and concentrated wildlife around water. Grass-cutting season in late winter opens the long views across the floodplains.

The complete guide

Nepal compresses the biology of a continent into a single day’s travel: from subtropical jungle at 150 metres to alpine ice at 8,848, with every habitat between.

The Terai’s national parks are the great under-told story — Chitwan was the first in Asia to bring the one-horned rhino back from the brink, and its lodges pioneered ethical wildlife travel.

Pair the jungle with Pokhara’s lakes and a foothill lodge, and you have a nature journey of real variety without a single hard day.
